Eerie Wish of Phreakness Relish in Photo Bliss at Rosslyn Castle a 4K

I know everyone likes to say from the sublime to the ridiculous, these images have some good starts that lead to the ridlime and on to the subdiculous.

These were meant to be test pictures just for me to calibrate my settings and work towards betters pictures. By accident I discovered a horrifying edit. The Full Spectrum Sensor captures here are with a sharp accurate modern Sony Zeiss lens having the aid of an IR Cut and Aerochrome Tone Filters. I know the colours in the light as seen here and can gain an insight on the very new to me Digital Full Spectrum photography. Beyond that I thought a few people might wish to see me full of fever and in the swirling midst of strange responses to wavelength, tone and manipulation? The exacting nature of the Full Spectrum images offers insight into several aspects of photography. I can see my skin showing scratches with the areas that I am rubbing taking on dark tones in some edits. The stone work renders the most recent hewn pieces differently to the old. With careful adjustments there could be dyes and different surfaces ready to reveal more detail and design even to illustrate modern repairs and untimely traces of chemicals.

These pictures are taken with a Full Spectrum Camera.

The wavelengths visible to other than human eyes can be explored with a Full Spectrum Camera. My friend who loaned me this camera and a set of lenses and filters describes the experience of dogs that cannot easily discern between a red ball and the green of the grass on which it sits.

A Full Spectrum Digital Camera is often a modified camera that can record light beyond the human visible spectrum. By capturing ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) light the images reveal a now visible representation of the sight given in the wider wavelengths. This can be achieved by removing the built-in UV/IR cut filter found in standard cameras, this allows for a wider range of light to reach the sensor and to be recorded in a manner visible to the human eye. With the addition of either external filters to the lens, or clip in to the sensor, photographers can choose to block certain wavelengths. These additional filters can be used to isolate ultraviolet UV, infrared IR, or human visible light to achieve specific effects that include using the camera for lowlight photography.

I can photograph a wide spectrum,

I can photograph a wide spectrum,
photograph it fully all electrum,
also use some delicate filtration
and edit with plenty of adaptation,

Electromagnetic radiation,
in flowing optical variation
sensed differently by all living beings
and also further seen by some ma-chi-nes
from before the dawn of Ultraviolet
to far beyond Infrared at sunset

Isaac Newton observed Purple and Indigo,
With Blue and Green, and Yellow too,
With Orange and Red
That is what he said,
Yet some today say his Blue was Cyan
And now the spectrum transfers, without division
It does not precisely fit a divine plan
There is more to light than is in our vision
We are always watching and comprehending the phenomenon
And some also maybe listening to this rather flawed failed song…

A Dream Revisited Kodak Ektachrome FILM Emulsion and ILLUSION 4K

A Dream Revisited Kodak Ektachrome FILM Emulsion and ILLUSION Ilfochrome INVOKED and Cibachrome EVOKED with Crystal Ball Reflection and Projection

The font is not as Kodak have used, as this personal Dream Project is not anything official of Kodak apart from the promotional case, the cute case as I think of it, being manufactured for Kodak is the beginning and an end of Kodak involvement here. The cute case is a great inspiration that has lead me to my digital dream being projected upon Cibachrome panels in my illusion of emulsion. This has been a Pipe Dream that is longing for the past and for potential that has passed. Ektachrome continues, the other side of the aforementioned promotional cute case is red and yellow advertisement of the discontinued Kodachrome. Cibachrome is still emerging from old sheets and fresh made chemical processes I believe, but I only have memories to hand in what sometimes are slide show like interactions within my make believe visionary castles of imagination.

These Pipe Dreams on past photographic productions now unavailable has me making my memories of them wishing to invoke René Magritte and La Trahison des images, The Treachery of Images, which is often evoked with Ceci n'est pas une pipe translated as This is not a pipe. The painted representation of the pipe from 1929 cannot be stuffed said Magritte and it certainly cannot perform as does the pipe it resembles. With such dreams of images and reality, with lost production processes and notions that the Camera Never Lies I have my dreams some real, others surreal, a few definitely beyond reality and further those resting in imagination and with vision of a remembrance towards a former reality accomplished now here held in pixels that have been embraced in loving edits.

The snappy title belies the convoluted memory to digital process from a 4x5 SINAR set up out of Switzerland following formulas from there that fill my photographic contemplations. Images of images and images to last against the ravages of time are bound in my mind with Kodachrome, Cibachrome and the varying P 3 / P 3X / P 30P / P 30 P 3.5 processes. In reflection and rumination through editing I have lost and found time, thought of reality and enjoyed illusion, fantasy and fiction. This is one picture brightly produced in varying considerations, cogitations and cognations created these digital inklings that presume to be potential for a project.

I would like to add, this as much I do is Production Incarnate Preinduction Illustrate. A progress in work Inspiration for the next creation.

As the above is my usual text slide to conclude the films I release on YouTube and Flickr I will add this below so as not to use the regular ending. I feel completely engaged and absolutely ready for each next link and flow in the chain and the continuation that interlock and mind and body shock me out of, into and all around these moments. The personal interaction here in picture taking and editing has taken me to moments in history and projected me to places far beyond mystery.

I should list a set of links in this space that could take you to that past factual information of the photographic processes here mentioned and pondered upon, but the journey awaits you whether you are new, or well along the ways of these defunct and still adored pictorial wonders that fuel current projects and enlighten dreams with fantastic rendition and fabulous colour.

Now is the film-time of our Garderobe of discontent adjunct to the now sealed Garderobe of discontent Rosslyn Castle in Roslin Glen Scotland

There have been modifications and new building work at Rosslyn Castle in Roslin Glen and the heavens above are no longer visible up through the Garderobe of discontent from the former midden below. The Sallyport contains root words of jump and door and the jump door was close to this dump shute. From former midden and possibly the groaning moat sometimes answered with a wash of the Roskelyn the swirling waters that carved out the foundational rock for the castle all the way with a fall to the stars.

Artistic gentle focus lens Rodenstock Imagon 300mm H5.6 a little history...

Artistic gentle focus lens Rodenstock Imagon 300 mm H=5.6 with a little history of the Murmillo Thraex as Gaulish replacement and Hoplomachus Gladiator

I do not wish to dwell on the traits and fates of Gladiators. The history of Murmillo and their opponent does show the Roman attitude of barbarian til the Gauls in this case were subdued and turned into a Client Kingdom so their former bestial character was withdrawn from the Arena and the Murmillones needed a new opponent in their live action and potential death games. The helmet here has a history and a continuing present.

Using a Sinar camera with artistic lens and a Sony digital mirrorless camera gives a warm feel to to the pictures. The Rodenstock Imagon 300 mm H=5.6 gives several versions of itself through itself without additions and then through aperture and diffusion discs sometimes referred to as sieve apertures and they are also called sink strainers. Many photographers are finding that old lenses and camera enclosures can work marvellous well with new digital cameras. Old cameras, lenses and equipment are current enjoy a second, third, fourth and more life as they are looked to again to produce the detail they were imagined for and the production of wonders that they were never designed for.

Murmillo

The murmillo (plural murmillones) or myrmillo wore a helmet with a stylised fish on the crest (the mormylos or sea fish), as well as an arm guard (manica), a loincloth and belt, a gaiter on his right leg, thick wrappings covering the tops of his feet, and a very short greave with an indentation for the padding at the top of the feet. They are heavily armoured gladiators: the murmillo carried a gladius (64–81 cm long) and a tall, oblong shield in the legionary style. Murmillones typically fought a thraex, but occasionally the similar hoplomachus.

Thraex

The Thraex (plural Thraeces, "Thracians") wore the same protective armour as the hoplomachi with a broad rimmed helmet that enclosed the entire head, distinguished by a stylized griffin on the protome or front of the crest (the griffin was the companion of the avenging goddess Nemesis), a small round or square-shaped shield (parmula), and two thigh-length greaves. His weapon was the Thracian curved sword (sica or falx, c. 34 cm or 13 in long). They were introduced as replacements for the Gaulish gladiator type after Gaul made peace with Rome. They commonly fought myrmillones or hoplomachi.

Hoplomachus

The hoplomachus (Romanised Greek for "armed fighter", Latin plural hoplomachii) wore quilted, trouser-like leg wrappings, loincloth, a belt, a pair of long shin-guards or greaves, an arm guard (manica) on the sword-arm, and a brimmed helmet that could be adorned with a plume of feathers on top and a single feather on each side. He was equipped with a gladius and a very small, round shield. He also carried a spear, which he would have to cast at his opponent before closing for hand-to-hand combat. The hoplomachi were paired against the myrmillones or Thraeces. They may have developed out of the earlier '"Samnite" type after it became impolitic to use the names of now-allied peoples.

Lens details Rodenstock Imagon 300 mm H=5.6 (for 13×18 cm)
In a joint effort with the pioneering photographer Heinrich Kühn, who, as a pictorialist, was artistically seeking for "romantic softness without sugariness, blurring without a woolly effect"[1] in images and had been experimenting with binocular lenses and soft filters and rasters in the 1920s already,[1] the lens was technically designed by Franz Staeble [de],[1][2] founder of the optical company Staeble-Werk [de] in Munich, Germany.[1] The resulting lens was marketed as Anachromat Kühn. Later in 1928,[1] the lens became the Tiefenbildner-Imagon, which was introduced by Rodenstock in 1930/1931 and produced up into the 1990s. The unusual term Tiefenbildner is a German composition, which can be best translated as "depth-of-field creator, modulator or painter" in an artistic sense; this designation was later dropped.

Some Sinar Camera Details

“The name SINAR is an acronym that encompasses the prime applications in the fields of still, industrial, nature, architectural and reproduction photography.”

http://www.sinar.ch/de/downloads/category/22-sinar-pressemitteilungen?download=118:sinar-photography-ag-acquires-the-brand-rights-of-sinar-ag

At times the name SINAR is rendered into different titles the above quote and link is from an English version of a 2011 press release, “Sinar Photography AG Acquires the Brand Rights of Sinar AG,” Zürich: Sinar Photography AG. April 2011. The S in Sinar has also been stated as standing for studio, Sache, or science.

Whilst Sinar still make amazing cameras this is an older version and it is not the latest and greatest. In fine age it is still a picture taking marvel, but not easy, not handy and not great to transport. Then you luxuriate into the results and suddenly the struggles of lifting and moving of the all manual operation and friendly challenges of light metering seem to be gone for a few treasured moments of appreciation and even longer still as you think where next for a Sinar experience.

180 Degrees around from the original atmospheric occurrence 4K

The skies were amazing. I stopped to take a picture and my perception was drawn 180 Degrees around from the original atmospheric occurrence to take pictures as you see them now. The original colour versions were loaded to Flickr yesterday and today the toned versions were added to a sound track recorded just out of shot from the road as seen in the photographs.

Mind stretch at Knowe of Yarso Chambered Cairn 4K

Within the newly roofed original stone confine

was a way marked out to encounter the divine.

Step by step I moved in closer to the moment

My heart beat in my ears was a rhythmic stream

There could have been an ordeal a wyrd torment

Instead there was in and out all through a dream
In the tomb there finding a womb that had the room

For every connection ever made, even almost made

The impossible mind garden began to beautifully bloom
There was a familiar new inspiring soundtrack being played
The end and the beginning of days was unreleased through haze
Heart beats were slow as an hour so that so much could bloom and flower
In a million, million enlightening encounters were the openings of so many, many ways
The fuel to reach out and to embrace, to know and to continue was a gift of
the ever divine power

I was lost in dim darkness and I was rewarded with the return to the day light.

Somehow, somewhere in darkness there was a blinding glimpse of second sight.

Entrance Interior Graffiti and Summon to Surface Wideford Cairn Orkney Scotland

If only… If only I had time to edit the footage and stills into a great presentation? If only I could bend a little more like I used to be able to, so many if only questions were miracle managed away into workable answers?

“If only,” is where it is. This film is something from 2023 that I did manage to get to. The whole trip was full of virtual potholes in the road for me rather than being resplendent with entrances to another world. Where and when I could I let go of this current consciousness and found what was waiting underground.

Then I called back and left the home for bone in the stone womb and found the surface full of another world as the current climate rapturously unfurled, commination curled and all heath and hell burly hurled as past consciousness updated in a global reset and the seasons fell away to the power of heating warming homes where we enjoy a much more stable life within a much more enriched skin no scarce hunt, no sparse fishing trip will reach our larders, we are all empowered within our guarded borders.
