What more could anyone need that the Eastern Sky Colours in the Fairy
Glen on The Isle of Skye? Food, shelter, comfort and a place in a
caring society, yes to all of those and then what more could anyone
need that the Eastern Sky Colours in the Fairy Glen on The Isle of
Skye? There this is th West and the setting Sun, it is more than
rather surreal, sensual and sumptuous and also it so vainglorious,
vigorous and vitalising that it appears unbelievable, so maybe not
the West? What more could anyone need that the Eastern Sky Colours in
the Fairy Glen on The Isle of Skye?
“In recent years’
visitors have started to move the rocks to create spirals on the
ground. We have been told that some of the bus tour guides have made
up and encouraged some rituals involving walking the spirals then
leaving a coin or token in the centre as an offering to the fairies
for good luck.
The locals on Skye
have repeatedly removed these stone spirals in an attempt to keep the
Glen in its natural state.”
I
was taken along to be shown these local sites and knew right away
that I would be back again someday soon. On day the first for me I
took some footage that orbed up beautifully at certain sections. Orbs
can be created within the lens and outside the lens by many factors
and no matter how scientifically precise the orbs are they are also
like dancing faeries. Sorry for orb mentioning in a none available
film, but it was at this site. I hope that this film captures a
little of the Faerie Glamour created close by the River North Esk in
Penicuik with less orbs and still some great charm.
Edge of the road, edge of the field each one set with fence so that a small ungrazed edge builds up in the untended vegetation. Very few people stop and look at the field and road separately sectioned. Few people look at the edge of the highway as a sign of the living history of the road that they are on. The trees and bushes are ready to reveal a time line and the lines of wire and posts tell a newer story that rounds off in the bank where the earth back fill shows an elevation of the on going scene.
Following feet and hoofs we made our intricate ways across the open land following stars, calculating hours by shadow in a way we no longer understand and now by engine in vehicle on modern construction we clock up our mileage, as we roll along allowing our end to end journeys to keep from falling off the edge, of the available tell tale edge of the road that much of the time no one really sees as we run along the edge of the field and park at the inviting opening into the trees.
The title almost says it all as far as the bounding box of the frame goes. Here are five pictures made from one original. The first, or 1 of 5, is the original image. The flowing pictures have then been cropped in four different cinematic frames. From the original view two above crops turn the eye above and two below crops turn the eye below and the perspective changes are very dramatic between the crops. It is surprising how the eye appreciates the size format and presentation of an image. An Open Star Lit Way Into The Pentland Hills Scotland was achieved with the aid of an assistant without whom there would not be this image thanks and tea will continue to flow and some energy snacks and even ‘quite freaky’ claimed, not shamed coffee, that was positively aimed, not negatively blamed. One Scene set in five frames from Full Original with Above and Below,https://www.flickr.com/photos/phhsykes/albums/72177720296213825Cinema 16.9 Wide Screen Edits this is An Open Star Lit Way Into The Pentland Hills Scotland 1 of 5Four strange lights on the horizon in these pictures are shown more clearly here,https://www.flickr.com/photos/phhsykes/albums/72177720296213825One Scene set in five frames from Full Original with Above and Below Cinema 16.9 Wide Screen Edits this is An Open Star Lit Way Into The Pentland Hills Scotland 1 of 5
The potential UFO sighting of the four lights on the horizon was a great moment of drama as I spotted the unusual pattern of light in the sky and then zoomed in to take a closer look.
My head is currently struggling to find my shoulders and my neck is missing not answering calls. Somewhere in the dizzying loops there is a centre to my seemingly erratic motions. The journey back to this world is almost complete, I was desperate to feel healthy again and now I wonder why I did not enjoy the other perceptions whilst their root causes had me. Today I have been trying to bring myself back for a Burn’s Night Celebration. Robert Burns was born on 25th January 1759 and many now celebrate on 25 January, or on the nearest day and night available. The whole of my day was focused on being available for tonight unfortunately and very wrong wyrdly I have had a pre-Haggis blow out. Puncture repair including Magic Tea has nearly got me back together. The Magic Tea in question was sometime Scottish Tea and sometime herbal with a waft of inspiration in every inhalation, all products are available through standard shops the Magic Tea is any tea that is magic to me as I engage in adoration at the cauldron cupped sacred brewing that is part of the ritual of Magic Tea.

Two not the Moon pictures, neither one, nor the other of the Moon.
Both original exposures were quickly edited by sticking a Moon on the sky and another Moon in the water. The Moon that was stuck in and on was the same in all four instances and it was the Moon from a few days before the Waterscapes were taken. I have not got my mobile phone set up correctly and the blurry Waterscapes were not the best to insert a Moon into so I did a ‘not the best insertion’ to quickly bring some up closer Moon joy into the pictures and present them happily at their cheery less than best here to the eye of the beholder.

Marion Lillie, the
Ringwoody Witch was burnt here in 1698.
The stone is reputed to
stand on the site of the burning of the last witch in the South of
Scotland.
Near to this site the
Birley Tree stood, under whose branches the local Birley Court was
held.”
The Witches Stone is said
to mark the spot where Marion Lillie, known as the Rigwoody, or
Ringwoodie Witch, was burned at the stake in 1698 and serves to
commemorate Marion Lillie and the plight and deaths of many others
that were executed for witchcraft. The site outside the current
village is thought to have been used as a place of trial, punishment
and execution. The term, “Rigwoodie,” is an old Scottish word
used to denote someone thin and bony. With many terms involved around
the persecution of witchcraft it might be that the term is being
recorded in to indicate both an improper sexual allure through magic
and to add sexual allure to the telling and retelling of the story.
Some authors record that many witches were burnt on the top of,
“Spott loan”, in 1705, seven years after the death of Marion
Lillie in 1698 which if accurate would reveal that Marion Lillie was
not the last witch to be burned in the South of Scotland.
To this day the very harsh
nature of times gone by including religious punishment can be seen at
Spott kirk. An iron chain and neckbrace, or the 'Jougs' are displayed
on the external wall near the kirk door. Contemporary locals keep a
tradition of placing a coin on the Witches' Stane when passing so as
to avoid bad luck. The now fenced off monument attracts other
offerings too. The outcast and the persecuted are better remembered
over time and there is a greater acceptance of witchcraft than before
whether in the past it was anything like we often now think of it
with it being a popular theme in contemporary culture.
It is noted that the area
around Spott was notorious for its witch burnings in the seventeenth
and eighteenth centuries. East Lothian has been made infamous due
well publicised witch trials, with records detailing allegations,
trials and convictions around Haddington, Tranent and North Berwick.
The Iron Age hill fort on The Chesters, not far to the south west of
Spott was also linked to witch burnings. From early drawings it is
possible that the current stone is the last survivors of several that
were a part of a megalithic monument. The current monument attracts
good attention for the right reasons and it serves for commemoration
of society being inhumane which is something that we all need to
struggle against and to succeed in fighting. To witches and to all
that society would seek to silence there is a potential for full
re-evaluation unfortunately all too often after terrible costs of
life.
A rough block of stone
about 22 inches across both ways but almost entirely covered with
road scrapings, lies at the root of the hedge on the southern side of
the road some 3/8 mile south-west of Spott Church and 90 yards
north-east of the junction of the road to. Little Spott. This stone
is placed near the spot where Marion Lillie the Ringwoodie Witch was
burnt. At the western corner of the junction of the road to Little
Spott stands the Birley Tree, an ash tree, 12 feet 4 inches in girth
6 feet from the ground, which marks the place where the Birley Courts
were held in olden days.
Some 500 yards east of the
dwelling house on Innerwick Farm and nearly 200 yards south of the
public road, in a field called Single Knowes field, is a slightly
rising piece of ground known as the Witches Knowe, on which a number
of witches are said to have been burnt.
About 80 years ago, while
foundations were being prepared for the old hot-houses in Spott House
gardens, the skeletal remains of a number of men with fragments of
their accoutrements, including broken swords and buttons, were found,
no doubt relics of some of the Covenanters who fell at the battle of
Dunbar. All the remains were re-interred in the Kirkyard of Spott, 26
feet from the north-eastern corner of the church and some 5 or 6 feet
east of the line of the wall of the church.
Ben Tee with Sròn a'
Choire Ghairbh from Loch Garry
the Fairy Mountains of God's Nose and
Tongue
The Fairy Hill of Beinn an
t-Sìthidh could be named after the remarkable conical summit that
looks like a high altitude spectral meeting ground, or Fairy Mound.
The eerie conical shape of Ben Tee's is similar to that of
Schiehallion which is also noted as a Fairy Hill. The Nose of the
Rough Corrie Sròn a' Choire Ghairbh defines the summit that stands
at the edge of the Coire Glas. At the height of 904 metres, 2966
feet, Ben Tee qualifies as a Corbett and as a Marilyn. It is just 10
metres, 33 feet, short of being a Munro. Sròn a’ Choire Ghairbh at
937 metres, 3074 feet, is classified as both a Munro and a Marilyn.
The Loch Lochy Munros include the Munro of Hill of the Tongue Meall
na Teanga. Altogether they seem to indicate that the proclamations of
God might be heard amongst their peaks. All mountains offer a
connection with the higher realms and give the beholder a chance to
leave society behind when perceiving their lofty prospect.
This superb reflection was cast on the surface of Loch Garry and was visible from the road. The A87 is a road that many take to reach the Isle of Skye. This route from Loch Oich starts at Invergarry and follows the River Garry West and soon runs alongside Loch Garry that held this superb reflection for me to photograph. There are several lay-bys available to park and to take a moment out of your journey in order to record a image featuring the Loch and the mountain scenery. The reflection is so stunning that some drivers overtaken by the view whilst others are busy on their journey trying to overtake those that slowing down to take in the natural spectacle of the mountain scenery spread out across Loch Garry.
On site the hollows where the sounds have been leaves a great gap that the mind experiences as a peculiar phenomenon of the sea cave. Longer exposure to the sound and absence of ASA, audio sensual activity gives a space in consciousness that creates a place for inspiration. The lasting appeal of natural phenomenon gives us insight to the human experience of contact and connection.
This magnificent natural basalt formation has inspired many minds to form numerous myths some of which have come to us today through folklore. This opening into the island forms a mouth that sings a sea symphony to those that venture within. The cave and the whole of Staffa are formed from the fierce fast flowing force of volcanic action and now the tides slowly wash away the structure. PHH Sykes copyright 2009 2020 phhsykes@gmail.com
Without
the Shadow Text to define the White Letters the image almost loses
the initial part of the title, “Self-I-Portrait,”
yet,
“(only
default settings) 000 and Fairytales,” remains
easily legible in white without specific shadow created to bring
about definition. The loss of, “Self-I-Portrait,”
from
the image with that text being consumed by light added to the
original photographs allows for ideas of the loss of ego into another
identity, at least whilst the light effect takes ahold in this
representation of the portraits. Something
lost is often something gained and always something changed which is
almost all that we can hope for.
Yesterday whilst helping transfer Apps and Settings from phone to phone I heard a quiet Fairytale song. Whilst providing New Apps from Old Apps I was struck with an Aladdin themed potential. I took a couple of self portraits with the front facing camera. There was a quick edit made in Google Photos and then I sent these images from the phone via email to myself. From the new images freshly created I attempted to introduce an old style and visual content to bring about a classic look with some Fairytale potential. The old me is busy transforming into the new me and I am taking time to bring about positive transformations as magical as Fairy and listening to the Seasonal Elemental Songs* to make some moments well worthy for a Tale. Winter is releasing the cold grip on me that takes away the memory of the warm days and annihilates the possibilities of comfortable nights. There is a reflection now for me to look on as I reset my Apps and continue to update my Settings and so right now for me again it is principal Pantomime best foot forward with some, “Once Upon A Time,” towards plenty of, “Happily Ever After.”
*Seasonal Elemental Songs are available for all from Spring Cleaning, Midsummer Dreaming** to Harvest Home and Winter Stocking including recognition of the Sun Festivals at the quarters of the year and any celebrations and observances you enjoy in the rhythm of the annual cycle that also includes an introduction of an extra hour here and a reduction of a surplus hour there to save the daylight.
**Midsummer Dreaming is stated here as some prefer not to over encourage Midsummer Madness as mania is strictly reserved throughout the rigours of polite society.

The flight and return of the crows brings a little erratic natural detail into the scene. One man walks away from camera, another walks across and then there is the man that arrives and departs without indicating his walk on, or revealing his walk off entrance and exit. Even though there is more to this production than meets the eye, there is also not much to it too, at least not in length. The footage was captured at an open event for the Winter Solstice 2019 at Stonehenge. The music and voices were recorded on site with the final words, “Over here.” The title asks if you can, “over hear,” and the production asks you to follow on, “Over here.” Please enjoy the journey if you over hear an invite to over here.
In the following 2 minutes you will be shown the basics in hurling incendiary bombs in the style recorded by our ancestors. Pig fat is noted as being used to create intense fires when underground mines were opened up below besieged positions and the mines and counter mines were set on fire, or fired to bring down the defences above, or to cave in the mines below. The pig fire below, in the mines, could be complemented as seen here with a flying, a flying fiery piglet. If you can then do go along and see Andrew Spratt at His Man at Arms demonstrations they are superb living history in action.
If you are able do get to see Andrew Spratt. His Man at Arms demonstrations are superb. The history and story telling is filled with entertaining sections for all ages as he brings the past to life and enacts the grim and glorious deeds set down in plain and illuminated pages. Quite literally items are shown clearly inked in manuscripts and then a replica is produced so that our perceptions of humanity are brought out of the past to the present giving us a chance to appreciate the journey we have travelled. There is a great section on bread and piglets. There is the chance to see someone that lives the role delivering the insight with humour of the life and times of the Man at Arms.
I follow Andrew on Twitter where he posts his historical reconstructions of castles, battles and other scenes.

The concept of Trinity is used in several religious expressions. In Goddess Worship, in modern Western Magick, in revised Hermetism and New Age Shamanism the trinity rises to give a frame for belief to weave a well made cloth that can wear throughout our existence.
In thinking Trinity I would ask that you might look for principals such as those listed below and the ones you wish to hold dear as your loom off three strands weaves three threads that call to another three and three til 9 holds close everything in single figures and naught gives us a gateway before 1, after 9 and 0 is an availability to leave a cycle at all times and to reach out in all direction with threads finding principles to create a Trinity at our Core.
and rewards are given so that none are left to fall
as the balanced harmony is given all to all.
We have been seeing faces in trees for a long time. This one in the photograph was created by the growth of the Yew tree. The natural growth remained hidden from view as part of the tree trunk. It was only available to be seen after a chainsaw had cut an uneven and textured plane through the trunk of the tree. Pareidolia is the name for the psychological phenomenon that gives rise to people seeing patterns in random stimulus. Faces in trees have been linked to what the roots are growing in, the shoots reveal what the roots find in the dark recesses of the soil. This has led to ideas of trees forming a face of the spirit of the place, or even revealing the presence of hidden remains so that the shoots show what was secreted away. The presence of faces on tree burial sites for humans will be a great connection for some who wish to see their loved ones in the trees. This Yew held on to the face hidden in the trunk until it was deemed to be blocking a path.
IAO, consist of three Greek letters Iota, Alpha and Omega. IAO is noted as a Gnostic god form, seen as both a Sun God and a Mystery God. The primary universal nature and use of IAO led to it being later identified with the Hebrew Tetragrammaton of IHVH formed by the letters Yod Heh Vau Heh which is well known as Jehovah and Yahweh. Both IAO and IHVH are used as formulae to explore and explain all natural creation. IAO to me can be a spoken key of threefold introduction to a journey into everything and nothing where all is possible.
The character of Pan has been built around his name meaning All. His connection to all gives him access to the ecosystem as greeter, guide and guardian of the groves in which he is often found and again through his All he is found wherever you happen to look for him, to call him and he is there even when you attempt to ignore him. A call to IAO and Pan is to issue a note and to create an invitation for the natural aspects to hear, to absorb and to respond as they see fit. The scientist can record the echo and those in meditation may hear answers to an unasked questions that they had not realised were in the IAO Pan even as they enunciated it. We are great creatures and we can choose to adore great gods. If we ask nothing from everything our own reflective nature will allow us time and space to hear what we want and then to listen further in search of what we need to an understanding of what we have and how best to fulfil our self with All.
Please forgive the 1347 hour and minute as opposed to the year if you can? This was intended as short fun film. Dirleton Castle is well worth a visit and the history in and around the site is superb.
“1347 Gatehouse Dirleton Castle,” was filmed in and first released in 2010 now it is rereleased 2019. It was released on my individual YouTube Channel which was called 111Aleph after me. That Channel has not been available for sometime.
This film is also not what I was looking for right now. So I will still continue searching. Hopefully there will be more releases from 111Aleph soon and will find what I am looking for.
The Gnostics have a way with words, with letters, with languages through the ages, with images, with sound and design all well set to create an impression of the divine.
“IAO in the vaults,” was filmed in and first released in 2010 now it is rereleased 2019. We expect tens of people to flock to see this online film. “IAO in the vaults,” was originally on Pucks Portal which at this moment exists only in fragments.
This film is not what I was looking for. I will continue searching. Hopefully there will be more from Pucks Portal soon.

Here is a second short record of the tree felling at the North of Temple village at the side of the B6372. The trees are on the route for many who come to the village for the Church ruins and Templar Preceptory remains.
Here is a second short film that could, hopefully lead to some more posts as the still pictures are yet to be uploaded. There are some more trial and error cuts and shuts that should serve to point to better success with touch of magic and an edit suite large enough to contain the chock-full virtual cauldron contents. The wording present in and around the slide show is all inspirational.
Michaelmas Seen Through The Rider Smith Waite Tarot Cards of The Lovers and The Devil
The day of Michaelmas is noted for many as the 29 of September each year. Some have three and some have four Archangels as messengers at charge ready to join in the celebration of the triumph of Archangel Michael leading the Heavenly Host in the battle over Lucifer. The cards that I have worked on have been chosen to illustrate the fall of Eden, the rise of man and the potential to see the conflict as a struggle, as a battle that we can all win. If the Devil Card reveals the call to the animal and the lustful nature then The Lovers illustrates the clarion call of the former idyll the paradise of Eden giving us a visionary gateway to bring back the memory of long summer days that lived up to make the perfect moment so special we wish to enjoy it again and again. The combination of good and evil iconography in these images is reset to bring the balance of want and need, of gluttony and greed into a new image composed in a very familiar symbolic structure now embellished and set to inspire new visions. The battle between good and evil can be a religious experience and an expression of faith. The same battle of good and evil can be the balance we can create to make a better world for all to share through our deep set and openly given sense of community that builds the world we all need.
These images are edited version of the original Rider Smith Waite Tarot Cards. William Rider & Son published the illustrations of Pamela Colman Smith that completed the description written by Arthur Edward Waite. The film versions describes how the transitions between the images appear to be revealing their symbol structure through an x-ray, or other scanning technology. There is no suggestion that these two cards were designed to be set one on top of the other, or side by side. I have made 60 variations to subtly illustrate what I wanted to reveal in the images when they are combined giving an insight that can be used to view the balance of The Lovers in Eden and in Hell The Devil. Hopefully I will have my film on line again soon that reveals the Four Angels in the Rider Smith Waite Tarot Cards.
