After thunderous applause the curtain rises for the encore to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Fancies 2009. Slowly the stage is cleared and the city returns to a more standard routine. Somewhere amongst the scattered memories is an air of expectation that begins to gather an unstoppable momentum as the summer ushers in the new festival spirit ready to take centre stage on almost every street.
